As a child, I believed I had a robust digestive and immune system, even though I suffered from depression for as long as I can remember. As a young adult, I underwent a couple of courses of antibiotics and took the birth control pill. The pill disagreed with me almost immediately, causing suicidal thoughts and decreased libido.
It wasn't until after my second child that I stopped eating gluten and dairy, as my breastfed baby had a terrible reaction when I consumed them. When I finished breastfeeding and tried gluten again, I experienced bloating, abdominal pain, and digestive upset. It was at this time that a friend introduced me to the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Diet.
I embarked on my GAPS journey in 2019, and after just 2 months, my mental health drastically improved. It felt as if a fog had lifted from my mind, and I knew I was on the right track.
Continuing on the Protocol, I noticed that my hormones became balanced and I no longer dreaded my menstrual cycle. Later on, to my delight, my gluten intolerance was healed.
GAPS has genuinely transformed my life. I have been able to heal my daughter's gluten and
dairy intolerances and eczmea, and she is now a healthy, strong little girl.
Our entire family now follows the GAPS Nutritional Protocol, and this lifestyle
nourishes our body, mind, and soul.

WHAT IS THE GAPS DIET?
The GAPS Diet, developed by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, is a nutritional protocol that aims to restore gut health and support the immune system. It focuses on healing and sealing the gut lining, eliminating pathogenic bacteria, replenishing the gut with beneficial bacteria, and nourishing the body with nutrient-dense foods. What is the difference between the GAPS INTRODUCTION Diet and FULL GAPS?
The GAPS Introduction Diet is a progressive, six-stage Protocol designed to heal and seal the gut, identify problematic foods, and nourish the body with nutrient-dense foods. It begins with the easiest-to-digest foods and gradually introduces more complex foods until you transition to the Full GAPS Diet. The Full GAPS Diet offers a wide variety of nourishing foods that promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria while excluding foods that feed harmful bacteria. This comprehensive approach supports overall health and well-being.
